This position is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships within the given territory. Creates, develops, implements and monitors procedures and services that will generate increased profitability and productivity. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain customers in order to maximize revenue generation to Polar Air Cargo
Achieve Japan’s sales and volume/revenue targets, not only for region of responsibility.
Coordinate assigned customers within the territory, including the development of strategy, tactics and communication with the account contracts. Territory covers not only Nagoya but also Osaka and western Japan area.
Analyze, monitor and optimize daily capacity allocation to increase revenue , and proactively communicate with reservations & customer service team to fill the flights without any voids for all sectors.
Prepare and collect market information for statistics and presentation.
Assure sales activities are in compliance in terms of legal, administrative, and etc.
Work/communicate closely with Assistant Sales Manager including pricing, market developments, industry marketing issues and forecasting
Create/manage selling tariffs and local schedules to the customers.
Make sure to verify if applied rate to each shipments is appropriate, and coordinate with Flight Revenue Analysis (FRA) team for smooth CASS settlement.
Manage priorities for cargo booking/movement process corporate with reservations & customer service team.
Maintain communication and coordination with other department to provide continuity with corporate plans and objectives at the sales territory level
Serves as an internal liaison between appropriate departments to ensure all customer and allocation commitments are met by meeting company standards.
Track and Trace irregularity cases and follow-up on tracers.
Research local claims and provide documentation to corporate customer service.
Provide weekly sales activity report to Assistant Sales Manager
Organize Japan customer events including annual award dinner and other customers-related events.
Develop sales activities for West Bound business in addition to East Bound business to meet customer’s satisfaction
Assist overseas Polar Stations for inbound cargo.
Take care of DHLE/Interline/Import customers like export customers, as they are also important customers within PO network
Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Sales manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in aviation industry or other relevant work experience

Overview

This position will be responsible for coordinating all sales & reservations related matters with the customer & the sales team of the territory.
Responsibilities
Identify, contact customers and book cargo to fill flights.
Understand and manage contents in Cargo Booking Advice (CBA) sufficiently.
Identify and communicate problems in freight allocation and pallet build-up to terminal services and/or manage and ensure solution.
Proactively solicit cargo from customers when booking is not sufficient to fill the flights and to get spot rate if it is required from the sales. Corporate with sales to fill the flights without any voids to hit maximum available cargo load (ACL) for all sectors.

Lead sales, customer service and reservation team to achieve sales targets in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and contribute to regional target by developing and realizing the sales plan. Design, implement and maintain systems and procedures for Polar Air Cargo’s capacity management processes. Create, develop, implement and monitor services and performances that increase profit and productivity for the region. Ensure Shenzhen capacity and revenue management processes balance effectively yield management and market/customer priorities. Extend sales supports to other Polar networks as required.
Responsibilities
Create and implement sales strategy and plans that align with regional sales and revenue target, in coordination with other stations for capacity management and exchange by filling in long haul capacity and minimizing capacity voids to achieve success for SZX and CAN station and the region as a whole
Direct and guide Reservation and Customer Service team in customers’ expectations management, customers’ performance monitoring and customer satisfaction management while at the same time maximizing load factor of every single flight, adapting to the constantly changed and last minute swing down/ up from DHLE, and facilitate the change of flights and shipments accordingly. Handle customers’ complaint directly when needed.
Support Import Sales for other stations such as HKG with truck air multi-model service by deepening and broadening customer base by preparing quotations to customers, targeting charter opportunities and assisting in formulating quotations when aircrafts available, persuade customers to see values in Polar services in terms of pricing and flexibility
Responsible for market and customer analysis through data collection from industrial networks, such as export managers of forwarders, to develop products and improve service as well as increase brand awareness;
Develop and focus on interline business and discretionary capacity e.g. 5Y K4, 3S extra flights when market situation allows, and increase PO income on commission/ increase PO market share
Provide regular Premium Partners account performance update to Senior Sales Director
Support import sales by arranging consignee visits and response to enquiries from import customers to provide support
Assist to prepare yearly budget and provide indicative market information to formulate strategies and customers plan
Assist to maintain credit control for PO and solicit credit performance of customers. Provide flexibility to customers in order to balance credit risk and business opportunities
