This position is responsible for analyzing and collecting market information to increase revenue and tonnage for sales team, and complying with all regulatory requirements of Japan Civil Aviation Bureau.

Responsibilities
  • Manage regulatory affairs with airport authorities to ensure full compliance and complete documentation for Polar Flights
  • Comply with enhanced policies for Safety and Security by head office of Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB)
  • Comply various type of regulatory reporting to meet JCAB’s requirements.
  • Ensure company compliance with all filing matters. (Season, Month and Daily)
  • Work closely with network team as a local representative when liaising on filings and applications.
  • Work with vendor to set Tariff, Fuel Surcharge and other related charges if necessary.
  • Collect market information for sales team.
  • Analyze and report market volume information by using Cargo IS, JAFA and other sources to sales team.
  • Analyze market yield trend and report to management to share insights for decision making
  • Create revenue and tonnage report of each customers for sales team.
  • Cross check the Allocation file and post flight of Cargo Booking Advice Sheet, in case of any open positions on flights, notice sales/customer service team to sell those sectors.
  • Analyze reason of void position of every flight to enhance sales strategy with sales team.
  • Communicate with other departments on on-going basis.
  • Assist Japan’s Reservation & Customer Service Team & Sales Team when there is a need to support in customer service.
  • Create seasonal PO network’s schedule both inbound and outbound.
  • Work with vendor for data transmission matter.
  • Take care of DHLE/Interline/Import customers like export customers, as they are also important customers within PO network
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Sales Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in air cargo industry, with knowledge of logistics planning highly preferable

  • Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization

Overview

The Customer Resolution Agent (CRA) is responsible for the efficiency in the overall cargo management warehouse processes to minimize operational hindrances for both import and export cargo.  They work interdepartmental to act as the liaison between Ground Operations, the warehouse, Sales and Customer Service.  The CRA works on ground in warehouse to manage cargo backlog, warehouse on-hand inventory, track and tracing, and acts as a cargo acceptance facilitator. 

Responsibilities
  • Bridge between Ground Operations and Sales and Customer Service by physically present in the warehouse to maintain, support and improve the overall warehouse processes
  • Identify, rectify and follow up on immediate problems by efficient communications with Customer Service, Sales, Ground Operations and any external parties in real time for any discrepancy or abnormalities that can impact a customer
  • Facilitate Ground Operations Acceptance process, freight allocation and pallet build-up to ensure any necessary paperwork or issues are resolved quickly and effectively
  • Ensure all IRR, Discrepancies and OS&D’s are properly actioned in the appropriate system(s) and documented where required
  • When possible, avert and/or diffuse potential problems with irregular cargo
  • Daily monitor and preparation of backlog, on-hand and tracing management reports across multiple warehouses and systems
  • Keep the team informed of any changes and ensure any displaced shipments are rescheduled
  • Work with operations to keep track and monitor movement of on hand shipments and differed cargo
  • Work with Sales team to help prioritize and keep high visibility/revenue shipments on schedule

Qualifications

Overview

Provide oversight and direction to vendors contracted by Atlas Air, and customers of Atlas ACMI flights, ensuring that proper Atlas and FAA handling procedures are used in the performance of duties.

Assist / oversee flight handling coordination for all Atlas departments, Crews and ground handlers.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Company Procedures, as outlined in manuals, bulletins, and memos.
  • Follow Company, local and government safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with Station Manager and HDQ Global Control Center on any issues or irregularities that affect the operation.
  • Work to ensure all customers, vendors, and government authorities are aware of the Atlas and Polar arrival and departure times at your station.
  • Ensure that all required equipment and personnel are in their proper position prior to aircraft arrival and departure at the assigned parking location.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure proper and timely load planning.
  • Ensure that all required preload checks are accomplished in order to ensure cargo, ULD integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate and supervise all cargo- related functions associated with handling the flight, which includes inspection of ULD’s, checking the weights randomly or onsite inspection of pallets being weighed prior to being loaded onto Atlas Air or Polar Air Cargo aircraft.
  • Conduct a thorough HAZMAT check of all outbound cargo.
  • Check Accuracy of NOTOC, create if necessary.
  • Ensure that the departing crew receives NOTOC in a timely manner so that crewmembers may conduct their inspection.
  • Compute Weight and Balance.
  • Receive and reproduce flight plans, weather, NOTAM/INTAMS and any other documents sent to the flight crews from Dispatch to operate their flight.
  • Send and receive aircraft movement and load messages to and from up line and down line stations via SITA, e-Mail, fax or any other means required to notify all concerned.
  • Alert crews for flights and arrange ground transportation for crew between aircraft, operations, and hotels as required.
  • Arrange and order catering for flights adhering to proper catering procedures and levels per Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo catering standards as provided in the published manuals.
  • Supervise aircraft and loading crews.
  • Ensure that the station-marshalling plan is followed, as required.
  • Replace and/or revises aircraft manuals and Jeppesens, as required.
  • Conduct FOD and Safety audits as required.
  • Identify potential problems as they develop and works with the Station Manager, and Customer to reach resolutions.
  • Ensure that all required Atlas or Polar reports are completed and given distributed.
  • Follow all required safety and security procedures as dictated by the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and the TSA.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or above (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in aviation industry, preferably in ground operations
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese
  • Computer literacy, the ability to not only run basic e-mail and word processing programs, but is able to learn and operate proficiently company and industry programs, including SITA, AIMs and Cargo Spot, etc.,
  • Demonstrate an ability to teach technical systems and skills to vendors and handlers to ensure proper handling of Atlas Air/Polar Air Cargo aircraft

Provides ground transportation services for freight and COMAT movement to and from our Gateways.  Establishes scheduled ground transportation networks for Marketing and Sales to assist in securing beyond gateway customers.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage existing Road feeder network for cost effectiveness and service.
  • Work with Road feeder vendors to ensure pre-determined service levels are maintained.

  • Regularly review and monitor local station procedures with Polar staff and vendors to ensure compliance with Polar requirements.
