Overview
Work location: Tokyo.
This position coordinates reservations & customer service with sales teams, DHL regional capacity management team(CAPMAN) & Polar Control Tower (PCT) and manages reservation & customer service teams to improve productivity. Create, develop, implement, and monitor procedures and services that increase the profitability and productivity of the country.
Responsibilities
Manage customer Service team to create productivity for daily tasks
Lead the team to maintain a positive working environment with team spirit, and provide guideline and support to each team member
Grow and develop individual team members.
Create an environment that encourages teamwork by collaborating with the Sales team, including the Sales manager of difficult situations
Conduct customer visit along with sales team to establish a good rapport with customers.
Coordinate with Polar Control Tower and DHL capacity management team(CAPMAN) and make a plan to avoid any potential voids & maximize the utilization of the ULDs.
Assure Reservation and Customer Service activities are complying with in terms of company compliance and administrative aspects
Responsible for team roster planning
Develop and implement processes and tools for optimal daily capacity and revenue planning in close cooperation with sales.
Prepare and evaluate both strategic and temporary schedule changes.
Identify and deliver freight allocation and pallet build-up with the station manager and seek solutions
Proactively collect cargoes from customers when booking is not sufficient to fill the allocations
Coordinate with Sales team to achieve the goals.
Respond to customers’ questions, problems, requests and/or complaints.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 7years of experience in air cargo industry
5 years or above experiences as manager or equivalent level of experience.
Thorough understanding of air cargo industry in both commercial and operational aspects
High degree of decision making skills and stress resistance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record in providing leadership in supervisory roles
High proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
This position is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships within the given territory (Guangzhou and Shenzhen).
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain agent accounts in order to maximize revenue generation to Polar Air Cargo
Prepare and collect market information/analysis report to statistics and presentation for manager.
Coordinate assigned accounts within the territory, including the development of strategy, tactics and communication with the account contracts
Work closely with the Senior Sales Manager including pricing, market developments, industry marketing issues and forecasting
Maintain communication and coordination with Senior Sales Manager to provide continuity with corporate plans and objectives at the sales territory level
Interface with Terminal Services employees to maximize revenue opportunities
Coordinate with Accounting Dept and Agents on accounts receivables
Produce selling tariffs and local schedules to the customers
Track and monitor customers' performance
Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Sales Manager
Coordinate with the ground handling for the cargo build up and load planning to maximize utilization for the pallet/ULD.
Data entry for the cargo spot or other systems.
Manage priorities for cargo booking/movement process;
Perform various administrative duties related to the job such as rate reconciliation, EQ report, ad hoc, request, tonnage and post flight summary, customer event, golf event, other activities, coordinate with the HKG marketing team and administration team.
Response to customers questions, problems, requests and/or complaints.
Track and trace on-forwarding cargo
Provide freight status alert and/or prove-of-delivery to customers if necessary.
Coordinate with operation team for the import handling and randomly re-weigh inbound shipments for CCA
Coordinate well for both Shenzhen and Hong Kong cargo terminal and ground handling agents.
Qualifications
University degree in Business Studies
Strong interpersonal skills and reliable
1-2 years Airline experience is required and a plus.
Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
Assist & support sales team to provide market data and related materials. Analyze various performances from sales activities. Represent the company in customer interactions and services. Assist with customer booking and revenue enhancement. Besides, networking with sister stations is the core job.
Responsibilities
Collect and scrutinize market information and statistics from CargoIS data to provide insights and recommendation to support the Sales team in making informed decisions.
Conduct data mining and analyze market data, including competitor activities, and macro- and micro-economic developments to identify market trends and opportunities.
Release local schedules and official documents such as fuel surcharges, flight delay/cancellations, and other necessary notices to the customers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Provide regular updates on customer’s all-sector performance to the Sales team and produce periodic performance measurement reports. (weekly, monthly, yearly)
Assist in preparing and organizing relevant documents, materials, and information needed for the upcoming meeting.
Assist in reporting freighter rates or changes to relevant authorities such as KMOLIT.
Assist in producing revenue budget and revenue re-forecast in response to schedule change or capacity change. Assist in supporting the partnership programs with customers
Assist in the planning and execution of trade fairs, internal company events, and customer events.
Collaborate with external managers and team members to support ensure the success of annual event.
Source, produce and manage promotional items and collateral materials to support marketing and sales initiatives.
Support internal and external communication: Internal communication: amongst others internal corporate announcements, news update, organizational issues, and commercial issues
Qualifications
Degree or above, or work experience equivalent to degree
Preferably least 2 years of air cargo industry experience.
High degree of decision making skills and stress resistance.
Strong ability to manage complex situations under time pressure.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Applies knowledge of logistics planning and pricing.
Fluent in Korean and English for written and spoken ability
Lead sales, customer service and reservation team to achieve sales targets in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and contribute to regional target by developing and realizing the sales plan. Design, implement and maintain systems and procedures for Polar Air Cargo’s capacity management processes. Create, develop, implement and monitor services and performances that increase profit and productivity for the region. Ensure Shenzhen capacity and revenue management processes balance effectively yield management and market/customer priorities. Extend sales supports to other Polar networks as required.
Responsibilities
Create and implement sales strategy and plans that align with regional sales and revenue target, in coordination with other stations for capacity management and exchange by filling in long haul capacity and minimizing capacity voids to achieve success for SZX and CAN station and the region as a whole
Direct and guide Reservation and Customer Service team in customers’ expectations management, customers’ performance monitoring and customer satisfaction management while at the same time maximizing load factor of every single flight, adapting to the constantly changed and last minute swing down/ up from DHLE, and facilitate the change of flights and shipments accordingly. Handle customers’ complaint directly when needed.
Support Import Sales for other stations with truck air multi-model service by deepening and broadening customer base by preparing quotations to customers, targeting charter opportunities and assisting in formulating quotations when aircrafts available, persuade customers to see values in Polar services in terms of pricing and flexibility
Responsible for market and customer analysis through data collection from industrial networks, such as export managers of forwarders, to develop products and improve service as well as increase brand awareness;
Develop and focus on interline business and discretionary capacity e.g. 5Y K4, 3S extra flights when market situation allows, and increase PO income on commission/ increase PO market share
Provide regular Premium Partners account performance update to Senior Sales Manager
Support import sales by arranging consignee visits and response to enquiries from import customers to provide support
Assist to prepare yearly budget and provide indicative market information to formulate strategies and customers plan
Assist to maintain credit control for PO and solicit credit performance of customers. Provide flexibility to customers in order to balance credit risk and business opportunities
Produce sales tariffs and schedules to customers and facilitate sales process
Represent the company when participating in industrial conferences and events, advocate and liaise for the company’s best interest, ensure company compliance with all filing matters, including wet lease applications, and any additional reporting requirements that might arise.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree holder or similar education with equivalent work experience in air cargo industry
At least 8 years of work experience in air cargo industry, with minimum of 3 years in supervisory role
Excellent oral and written Mandarin and English communications skills.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
Demonstrate professionalism in handling of account inquiries and vendor calls.
Excellent team player who coordinate with the APAC team and excellent people skills for coaching and mentoring
Strong analytical skill and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex situations under time pressure
