Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Traveling (Ride On) Aircraft Mechanic to travel globally with an assigned Boeing 747, 767, or 777 aircraft. This role requires a dedicated professional with deep technical expertise in widebody aircraft, particularly the 747, 767, 777. The successful candidate will travel extensively, providing on-site technical oversight and hands-on support for line maintenance and AOG recovery, while also supervising third-party vendor maintenance teams.

 

Responsibilities
  • Travel with assigned Boeing 747, 767, or 777 aircraft to global destinations in a 20-on / 10-off day schedule rotation.
  • Provide on-site aircraft maintenance support, troubleshooting, and repairs in remote or international locations.
  • Supervise and coordinate third-party technical personnel and line maintenance vendors to ensure quality and compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between flight crews, dispatch, engineering, and local maintenance providers.
  • Coordinates maintenance requirements with MCC, Workload Planning, Materials, Quality Control, and A/C Planning Departments.
  • Conduct technical inspections and ensure maintenance tasks are properly documented and executed.
  • Support AOG recovery operations with minimal lead time.
  • Improve efficiency and reliability by identifying recurring problems and recommending changes in procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all relevant regulations (FAA, EASA, etc.) and company procedures.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with Maintenance Control and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times while traveling and working with international partners.
  • Performs self-audits of station(s) / geographic area as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working on Boeing 747, 767, or 777 or comparable widebody aircraft.
  • Valid FAA A&P Certificate.
  • Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • Must hold a valid passport and meet requirements for international work and travel.
  • Extensive travel both domestically and internationally is required.
  • Ability to work variable hours including holidays and weekends on a 20 days on / 10 days off rotation.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and inspection skills, with a hands-on approach.
  • Proven leadership experience in supervising maintenance teams and third-party vendors.
  • Extensive international travel experience, with the ability to mobilize on short notice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Salary Range: $95,500-$129,000

Overview

Responsible for leading the catering/commissary department and planning all aspects for aircraft catering and commissary. Plan, implement and manage budget for Catering Department. Manage all internal reports (FCR, Pursers and PSR) for trends

Responsibilities
  • On call 24 hours/7 days a week to respond to crisis situations in order to provide guidance on delays, flight cancellations and other irregularities.

  • Evaluates and implements ongoing process improvement and automation opportunities of Catering operations disciplines that scale and grow with business need
  • Provide direction on strategic ordering of rotable and expendable galley equipment and maintains associated budget
  • Leads aircraft stowage and galley designs including galley equipment (ovens, coffee makers, carts, standard units, etc.)
  • Implements specification and product changes.
  • Direct and manage appropriate resource allocation and manpower planning to ensure staffing strategy is aligned with the needs and requirements of the operation
  • Drive solution-based recommendations and improvements to ensure integrity and success of the catering operation and its processes
  • Lead the department to achieve the budget targets and initiate corrective actions if necessary
  • Ensure that the department’s work methods are in line with the company standards and customer contracts
  • Assisting as directed on special projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in airline catering and commissary.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative on a given task and persist with the task to its completion. 
  • Able to identify problems and their sources. 
  • Knowledge with aircraft galley equipment development (e.g. carts standard units, drawers, service equipment, etc.)
  • Experience in the budgeting process and managing an operating plan
  • Must demonstrate proven leadership skills with the ability to lead the Catering Operation
  • Successful track record in leading an airline catering department for on time performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality guidelines provided by corporate and local regulations and customer requirements

Overview

The Material Operations Supervisor is responsible for performing warehouse duties related to the safe handling and processing of aircraft material as required by the Company, regulatory requirements and best practices. Develop/implement processes and procedures for efficient material handling.  Overseas, monitors and reviews activities of Material Operations during unattended supervisory shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily stores functions such as shipping, receiving, binning, issuing, housekeeping and security of technical spares. Inspection of incoming packaging and parts for any possible damage, verification of quantity, part number accuracy and entry into the inventory system.
  • Performs Level 1 and level 2 receiving inspection functions on behalf of Quality Control to ensure that parts acquired contain the proper documentation, confirm acceptable quality standards and comply with Atlas Air policies and FARs. Submit Scan certification to AirVault.
  • Coordinate with EGAT BM on the return of serviceable and unserviceable parts upon check completion. Ensure EGAT stores performs proper credit back on timely manner upon check completion.
  • Assists Material Planning - Repair Department with unserviceable parts review and disposition. Makes recommendations on scrap/repair decisions and ensures condemned parts are handled in accordance with company policy.
  • Communicate with Maintenance and HDQ Materials to identify and correct potential disruptions related to parts or tooling for AOG, DMI, MELs and scheduled maintenance. ensure that EGAT delivers parts to aircraft side to meet the aircraft departure schedule.
  • Executes vendor vs company supply material decisions daily. Review vendor supplied materials daily and ensure consumption is in line with work package. Review vendor supply material cost for accuracy.
  • Responsible for executing monthly and weekly tasks assigned such as Calibration Tooling S/L & Material Shelf-Life review, Cycle Count/Inventory counts in TPE and within the Asia Station if requested to travel to assist.
  • Perform Flight Spares kit inventory check and submit inventory results in accordance with company procedures.
  • Monitor all Inbound and outbound shipments and station supplies; ensure the shipping documentation are correct, take photos of the parts and advises Supervisor of material shortages, damages or requirements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as trucks, forklifts, pickers, etc. (If the warehouse is equipped with them and you have been certified to operate).
  • Utilize computer systems to maintain and update inventory (TRAX) in a timely manner.
  • Performs timely and cost-effective shipping of materials and ensures vendors are preparing items for shipping in a proper manner to provide protection against damage.
  • Assist other stations within the Region with A-CHECK / C-CHECK Pre-Draw Review, Re-assigning Check request in TRAX to MATPLN – TECHPURCH – Vendor Supply as assigned.
  • Provides on-site guidance to MRO/Vendors performing material functions on behalf of the company
  • Assist other Asian stations with Repair Order creation – Transfer Order creation as requested by the station supervisor, Regional Manager.
  • Assist other Asian stations with Packing and shipping TRAX updates.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Regional Manager Supply Chain Operations APAC Materials Managements.
  • Provide immediate recovery assistance for aircraft in jeopardy of missing schedule.
Qualifications
  • Degree holder or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in the aviation industry
  • 2 years’ experience knowledge in supervision or work technical leadership
  • Experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, moving, issuing and shipping aircraft materials, supplies and equipment. Including experience in warehousing diverse goods in a complex operational environment.
  • Previous experience with identifying and shipping hazardous materials.
  • Strong commitment to work and be responsive to emails and calls.

Travels to off-line stations and performs and/or supervises contract personnel’s performance of duties relating to the loading/unloading of aircraft and cargo handling.   • Maintains a current passport and travel to off-line stations worldwide and be eligible to qualify for a CAAC card for AMC operations.
  • Ensures safety of company aircraft and crews by preventing aircraft damage, ensuring proper loading to include nets and locks, Verification checks in accordance with company manuals, ensuring HAZMAT is handled correctly including loading and paperwork, develops and distributes load plans, determines aircraft weight and balance.
  • Ensures that contractors adhere to company and governmental safety and other applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Ensures that personnel at off-line stations perform tasks for aircraft to arrive and depart as scheduled.
  • Operates the aircraft loading system to ensure established loading/unloading procedures are followed.
  • Monitors contract personnel’s compliance with pallets/nets/straps procedures and ensures that appropriate number of pallets/nets/straps are returned.
  • Completes and/or maintains company reports, messages, files, logs and forms and ensures that necessary paperwork (e.g. Customs) is completed.

Qualifications

Overview

Provide oversight and direction to vendors contracted by Atlas Air, and customers of Atlas ACMI flights, ensuring that proper Atlas and FAA handling procedures are used in the performance of duties.  Assist / oversee flight handling coordination for all Atlas departments, Crews and ground handlers.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Company Procedures, as outlined in manuals, bulletins, and memos.

  • Communicate with Station Manager and HDQ Global Control Center on any issues or irregularities that affect the operation.
  • Work to ensure all customers, vendors, and government authorities are aware of the Atlas and Polar arrival and departure times at your station.
  • Ensure that all required equipment and personnel are in their proper position prior to aircraft arrival and departure at the assigned parking location.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure proper and timely load planning.
  • Ensure that all required preload checks are accomplished in order to ensure cargo, ULD integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate and supervise all cargo- related functions associated with handling the flight, which includes inspection of ULD’s, checking the weights randomly or on site inspection of pallets being weighed prior to being loaded onto Atlas Air or Polar Air Cargo aircraft.
  • Conduct a thorough HAZMAT check of all outbound cargo.
  • Check Accuracy of NOTOC, create NOTOC if necessary.
  • Ensure that the departing crew receives NOTOC in a timely manor so that crewmembers may conduct their inspection.
  • Compute Weight and Balance.
  • Receive and reproduce flight plans, weather, NOTAM/INTAMS and any other documents sent to the flight crews from Dispatch to operate their flight.
  • Send and receive aircraft movement and load messages to and from up line and down line stations via SITA, e-Mail, fax or any other means required to notify all concerned.
  • Alert crews for flights and arrange ground transportation for crew between aircraft, operations, and hotels as required.
  • Ensure catering is delivered on board accurately and on time; promptly notify the catering department of any discrepancies and assist with rectification as directed.
  • Supervise aircraft and loading crews.
  • Ensure that the station-marshalling plan is followed by vendors and ground handlers, as required.
  • Replace and/or revise aircraft manuals and Jeppesens, if instructed.
  • Conduct FOD and Safety audits as required.
  • Identify potential problems as they develop and work with the Station Manager and Ground Operations Coordinators to reach resolutions.
  • Ensure that all required Atlas reports are completed and distributed.
  • Follow all required safety and security procedures as dictated by the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and the TSA.
Qualifications
  • Background in the airline industry or aviation preferred
  • Previous experience in areas of duty and cargo/passenger service operations preferred
  • Required to successfully pass company initial and annual recurrent training in areas of Loadplanning, Weight & Balance, and aircraft handling

  

Special Demands:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Shift work and weekend coverage may be required

Overview

Manages and controls maintenance operations on a shift basis in order to provide safe, compliant and reliable aircraft operations. Is the primary point of contact regarding aircraft out of service and the current mechanical status of all aircraft in Atlas Air / Polar Air fleets. Focal point within the Global Control Center for all aircraft maintenance related items and provides bi directional communications to business unit members as required by the general maintenance manual and internal operating procedures. Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the maintenance, tooling and parts support for all maintenance activities with our vendors and internal departments.
  • Coordinates parts and manpower requirements for engine/aircraft repair beyond the capability of contract vendors and monitors repair activities through to completion.
  • Coordinates with Line Maintenance, Major Maintenance, Engineering and Manufacturing Representatives concerning aircraft maintenance issues.

Overview

Inspect, modify and repair aircraft at the maintenance base. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Experienced transport category aircraft maintenance experience
  • Formal training on advanced systems/avionics
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in variable weather conditions
  • Able to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must possess valid passport or State issued driver’s license and  may travel occasionally for AOG recovery and special projects when requested

Overview

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of line maintenance at their assigned station(s) including contract maintenance personnel and maintenance managers.

Responsibilities
  • Provides managerial oversight of Maintenance Managers and stations as assigned.
  • Periodically conducts analysis of flight schedules, past and future to match manpower to flight activity changes.
  • Coordinates manpower and personnel schedules to provide adequate manpower coverage as needed to support aircraft line maintenance operations.
  • Reviews all delays for improvement opportunities and tracks On-Time performance for assigned station(s).
  • Ensures the safe and efficient maintenance of company aircraft within their station / geographic area, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating, and providing oversight for contract line maintenance personnel in their station(s) and geographic area as assigned.
  • Ensures personnel under their supervision are trained and qualified in accordance with GMM policies and procedures.
  • Monitors the training, qualifications, and level of proficiency for maintenance personnel at assigned station(s) / geographic areas.
  • Monitors Flight Schedules and fleet status to ensure the best use of resources, ground time, and aircraft routing.
  • Coordinates line maintenance requirements with MCC, Workload Planning, Materials, Quality Control, and A/C Planning Departments.
  • Maintains surveillance of line maintenance activity at assigned station(s) / geographic area.
  • Coordinates resources and technical support as necessary in cases of major mechanical events or AOG situations.
  • Improve efficiency and reliability by identifying recurring problems and recommending changes in procedures.
  • Responsible for coordinating the timely repair of deferred maintenance items on aircraft transiting assigned station(s) and/or geographic area.
  • Ensures shift turnover and work interruption procedures are followed to ensure incomplete maintenance work is completed before an aircraft is returned to service.
  • Ensures station(s) provide accurate and timely updates to MCC for maintenance and aircraft AOG status information.
  • Monitors maintenance history, AHM, Repeat Item, and Oil Watch Programs.
  • Formulates corrective action plans for mechanical problems and deferred maintenance items in coordination with MCC.
  • Maintains communication with Regional Director to ensure cost-effective application.
  • Ensures station(s) are performing timely entry of log page discrepancies and parts changes in TRAX.
  • Ensures personnel in their assigned station(s) / geographic areas are versed in the use of the TRAX system.
  • Ensures station(s) are monitoring spare engine status and engine change kit readiness.
  • Maintains liaison with Ground Operations and Flight Operations to ensure safe and dependable operations.
  • Enforces safety procedures and practices outlined in company manuals and industry standards.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities at field locations away from home base as assigned.
  • Flies on company aircraft as assigned to support aircraft operations around the world.
  • Performs self-audits of station(s) / geographic area as needed.
  • Develops and manages station(s) / geographic area budget(s).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport access badges for assigned station(s)
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant years of experience
  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Must maintain Atlas Air qualification and authorization for Airworthiness Release for aircraft assigned to station(s)/region.
  • 9-13 years of experience on 747/767/777 aircraft or equivalent wide-body aircraft and 737NG aircraft or equivalent narrow-body aircraft required.
  • Managerial experience required.

 

Salary Range: $117,500 - $158,500
