Overview

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-5 years of transport category aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing series aircraft – Preferred) 737 or 777 Gen Fam with RII authorization
  • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in variable weather conditions

Overview

Ensure compliance with domestic and international dangerous goods regulations set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other relevant regulatory authorities. Interact with domestic and international governmental agencies and maintain effective and efficient policies and procedures. Oversee the safe and compliant handling, storage and transportation of dangerous goods for the Company.  Oversee strategic planning, implementation, correspondence, tracking and oversight of Regulatory Compliance programs at Atlas.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the approval and rejection process of transport requests, interacting with domestic and international authorities to obtain Dangerous Goods and Special Loads exemptions and approvals.
  • Oversee dangerous goods regulatory compliance and overall strategic planning, implementation, correspondence, tracking, and oversight of Regulatory Compliance programs
  • Recommends and implements new/corrective measures to ensure compliance with internal and external policy.
  • Oversee the management of the Dangerous Goods country permission process, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals for international transport.
  • Act as a liaison with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Mobility Command (AMC) on air transport matters pertaining to dangerous goods, ensuring compliance with their specific requirements.
  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive Dangerous Goods Policy and Procedure in alignment with US and international regulations, including FAA, ICAO, IATA, and other relevant authorities.
  • Provide oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the Dangerous Goods Department, ensuring strict adherence to regulations and standards for the safe transport of dangerous goods.
  • Manage and oversee the Company’s Dangerous Goods 24/7 Hotline, serving as the primary point of contact for dangerous goods-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Review and enhance the content of Dangerous Goods Training Programs for Ground Operations, Flight Operations, and Maintenance personnel, incorporating the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Communicate and provide expert advice on operational requirements and concerns based on thorough analysis of daily activities and briefings.
  • Administer tasks assigned to the Dangerous Goods Supervisors & Specialists, delivering comprehensive training and support to ensure proficiency in dangerous goods handling.and provide training and support accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Administer the content of the Dangerous Goods Manual (DGM) including applicable interfaces.
  • Support the Dangerous Goods Auditing process (documentation, emergency procedures, training, facilities, and compliance) for the Company, including the ones extending to our Customers, ground handlers and vendors.
  • Control data collection tools and maintain relevant data relevant to Dangerous Goods transport, critical tasks and events, including discrepancies, incidents or accidents.
  • Liaison with DoD and AMC on air transport DG matters.
  • Maintain and update Dangerous Goods Emergency response and procedures for in-flight or ground emergencies.
  • Manage the allocated budget for Dangerous Goods and Emergency Response, ensuring optimal resource allocation and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Foster relationships and collaborate with domestic and international organizations involved in dangerous goods transport and regulations, staying updated on industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices.
  • Represent the Company in training seminars and regulatory conferences, actively participating to ensure up-to-date compliance with evolving aviation regulations and industry standards.

Salary Range: $91,100- $123,000

 

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.

Overview
  • Daily management of Company facilities in Dade and Broward counties, including the Training Center, Stores, Cargo Operations offices and warehouse, and Sales offices.  Primarily responsible to ensure efficiency, neat appearance and full facility functionality by conducting daily floor checks of common areas, conference rooms and kitchens. Work in conjunction with landlord and others and local Company leaders to provide vital support to all facilities and building management functions.
Responsibilities
  • With emphasis on daily management of Training Center, manager will be responsible for assigned facilities to ensure efficiency, neat appearance, and full facility functionality by conducting daily floor checks including common areas, training areas (including simulation areas), conference rooms and kitchens. When deficiencies are identified, initiate corrective action to repair/replace.
  • Participate in the project development and execution of the planned Next Generation Flight Training Center, including the eventual transition to the new facility.
  • Primary point of contact for special events and meetings. Manage catering, set up and booking of conference rooms.
  • Collaborate with Property Management as needed to ensure timely, accurate processing of all work orders and monitor for completion.
  • Supervise office Training Center Receptionist and manage schedule. Provide relief coverage to the receptionist during scheduled breaks.
  • Manage and coordinate temporary reception coverage for Receptionist during planned absences.
  • Oversee and/or perform office management responsibilities to ensure effective and operational workplace for employees and teams, such as ordering/restocking of office and shipping supplies.
  • Respond to employee facilities requests in a prompt and pleasant manner.
  • Ensure compliance to corporate standards for space allocation and functionality.
  • Collaborate with facility maintenance including dispatching and escorting vendors working in the building.
  • Receive vendor deliveries and sign receiving documents.
  • Review all invoices and verify services have been rendered and/or products received, then process for manager’s approval.
  • Manage and coordinate internal seating changes and relocations as well as new hire seating including coordinating furniture reconfiguration, cleaning work areas as necessary and assist with any other facility related employee requests.
  • Provide tour and basic explanation of facility related issues to all incoming employees.
  • Maintain an updated employee location list in the Facilities Data Base using Tango Space Reservation application.
  • Maintain information related to Company equipment for corporate office and remote locations in South Florida area including photocopiers, and postage metering equipment.
  • Oversee and coordinate off-site archiving
  • Oversee and manage coordinated schedules for mail pick-ups and deliveries, including postage metering where applicable.
  • Action inquiries regarding office (not cargo) shipment status and run tracers as necessary.
  • Act as primary administrator of conference room calendars and schedules.
  • Ensure best and highest use of conferencing resources, work to limit inefficient use.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Director, Facilities and Services.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required, 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Five years of facility management experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Ariba)

Overview

Responsible for the engineering data, instructions, documents, and technical support that economically ensures the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of Atlas Air aircraft Avionics systems within the following ATA’s - 22, 23, 24, 26, 28, 31, 33, 34, 77 and can also include other ATA Chapters. 

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Avionics Engineering staff.
  • Prioritize Avionics Engineering actions.
  • Provide budgetary data on projects and issues as directed.
  • Report on the status of projects and issues as directed.
  • Issue instructions and documents to economically support operations and return aircraft to service in a safe, airworthy, and timely manner.
  • Develop and/or obtain approved data, acceptable data, and Alternate Methods of Compliance (AMOCs) for repairs, alterations, and modifications.
  • Update technical source documents as applicable to insure accuracy.
  • Support integration of new and previously operated aircraft.
  • Liaise with manufacturers; maintenance representatives, repair & overhaul (MRO) facilities; outside engineering departments; regulatory personnel; and other outside agencies.
  • Participate in industry working groups, industry steering committees, industry meetings, and conferences.
  • Review work of consultant, contract, and MRO Avionics Engineers
  • Evaluate Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Letters (SLs), and other notifications of in-service issues.
  • Develop product improvement modifications as directed by Reliability Indicators.
  • Work with original equipment manufacturers on emerging issues to help ensure safety and airworthiness, but also minimize the economic impact.
  • Organize, develop and provide all necessary Avionics Engineering documentation required to complete aircraft Avionics modifications and repairs within the allocated time schedule and budget allowance.
  • Establish component repair and build specifications to enhance dispatch reliability in accordance with budgetary and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to Technical Operations, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, and other Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings personnel.
  • Coordinate with other Engineering staff to provide 24/7 technical support.
  • Review avionics portion of the Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection Program, and initiate maintenance program changes and changes to maintenance documents
Qualifications
  • S. Engineering/Technical Engineering Degree (EE or AE) or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 10 years Aircraft Avionics Engineering
  • 5-7 years in applied engineering setting.
  • A&P or AET License/Certification with current experience, or expertise in avionics systems
  • Familiarity with aircraft and engine avionic systems and components.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of large aircraft avionic systems and components design.
  • Ability to identify cost effective engineering solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with manufacturers and regulatory agencies.
  • Some financial analysis skills required.

Overview

Provide oversight and direction to vendors contracted by Atlas Air, and customers of Atlas ACMI flights, ensuring that proper Atlas and FAA handling procedures are used in the performance of duties. Assist / oversee flight handling coordination for all Atlas departments, Crews and ground handlers.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Company Procedures, as outlined in manuals, bulletins, and memos.

  • Coordinate with customers to ensure proper and timely load planning.
  • Ensure that all required preload checks are accomplished in order to ensure cargo, ULD integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate and supervise all cargo- related functions associated with handling the flight, which includes
    inspection of ULD’s, checking the weights randomly or on site inspection of pallets being weighed prior to being
    loaded onto Atlas Air or Polar Air Cargo aircraft.
  • Conduct a thorough HAZMAT check of all outbound cargo.
  • Check Accuracy of NOTOC, create if necessary.
  • Ensure that the departing crew receives NOTOC in a timely manor so that crewmembers may conduct their
    inspection.
  • Compute Weight and Balance.
  • Receive and reproduce flight plans, weather, NOTAM/INTAMS and any other documents sent to the flight crews
    from Dispatch to operate their flight.
  • Send and receive aircraft movement and load messages to and from up line and down line stations via SITA, e-
    Mail, fax or any other means required to notify all concerned.
  • Alert crews for flights and arrange ground transportation for crew between aircraft, operations, and hotels as
    required.
  • Arrange and order catering for flights adhering to proper catering procedures and levels per Atlas Air and Polar
    Air Cargo catering standards as provided in the published manuals.
  • Supervise aircraft and loading crews.
  • Ensure that the station-marshalling plan is followed, as required.
  • Replace and/or revises aircraft manuals and Jeppesens, as required.
  • Conduct FOD and Safety audits as required.
  • Identify potential problems as they develop and works with the Station Manager, and Customer to reach
    resolutions.
  • Ensure that all required Atlas or Polar reports are completed and given distributed.
  • Follow all required safety and security procedures as dictated by the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and the
    TSA.
  • Night shift and weekend duties are required
Qualifications
  • Have minimum 2 years’ experience in the airline industry or aviation
  • Have at least 2 years’ of experience in the areas of duty and operations
  • 4 year College degree or equivalent relevant working experience
  • Demonstrate an ability to teach technical systems and skills to vendors and handlers to ensure proper handling of Atlas Air/Polar Air Cargo aircraft
  • Applicants are required to successfully pass company Initial and annual recurrent training in areas of Loadplanning, Weight & Balance, and aircraft handling

Responsibilities

Safety and Regulatory Compliance

 

  • Be accountable for the performance of the region related to safety and security

 Service Delivery and Excellence

  • Develop close and effective working relationships with regional Ground Handling Agents, as appropriate, to extract maximum value from the relationship
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with local Civil Aviation Departments and various applicable regulatory bodies to enhance the overall interests of the Company

Bridging HDQ & Local Stations

 

  • Collaborates with the Regional Director of APAC on process improvement and operational efficiency projects
  • Partner with the Security team on all security matters including liaison with local authorities as required
  • Lead on and facilitate the set-up of new stations in conjunction with Ground Operations directives
  • Lead and actively support the execution of services strategies within the region
  • Act as regional trainer as directed by Ground Operations, Standards and Training

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the joint manual content owner for the Flight Operations Training Manual (FOTM). Incorporates revisions within area of responsibility based on administrative precedent actions, interpretations of policies and proposed changes initiated through FARs.
  • Analyzes, prepares and recommends annual department budget and is accountable for compliance with approved budget.
  • Review monthly sim usage and expense reports and evaluate department expenses for cost control implementation and tracking.
  • Provides constructive and timely feedback in accordance with the Performance Management Process to all direct reports.

Material Quality Inspector Technical Operations Erlanger, KY Atlas Air, Inc 02-19-2024 5888
Overview

The Material Quality Inspector ensures that all parts and materials brought into the system for the support and maintenance of aircraft are serviceable, airworthy, and quality standards are maintained throughout the entire receiving process. The tasks required for this role include the inspection of parts, assemblies, chemicals, tooling and materials for conformance to specifications, verification of quantities, part number of items received to ensure completeness and accuracy of order, and the certification paperwork for compliance with FAA, EASA and other regulatory agencies, including Atlas Air company requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Determine if all parts and materials are serviceable or unserviceable per the requirements of the General Maintenance Manual and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Inspect incoming material for conformance to purchase order requirements, engineering orders, service bulletins and in accordance with Atlas Air receiving inspection procedures
  • Verify that received products meet the requirements of process standards and specifications and are free of defects.
  • Document anomalies and non-conformances.
  • Obtain and maintain all process certification required for assigned tasks.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as necessary and/or directed by Manager.
Qualifications
  • A&P license required
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 2+ years aviation or airline experience in the field of Quality Control or Quality Assurance
  • 3-5 years of experience in Final and In-Process Inspection of aircraft detail parts and structural assemblies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (TRAX, Oracle, or SAP)
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Open to operating in a collaborative environment
  • Open to a dynamic work schedule that may require changes as operations dictate
  • Must possess integrity, honesty and strong work ethic

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Strong Computer Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, etc.)
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Strong ability to read and comprehend technical data and drawings  

 

 

Salary Range: $51,500- $69,000

Overview

This position is responsible for achieving all Ground Operation goals as they relate to performance, safety, service and regulatory compliance. Supervision of the Loadmaster group to ensure cost effective utilization, appropriate performance and conduct. To provide internal and external customers with assistance and guidance on the acceptability of Special Cargo for carriage on company aircraft. Advise of any required cargo buildup, shoring and/or special equipment required to facilitate that carriage. Communication with affected locations to ensure efficient movement. Monitoring of special loads as they transit through our system.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, monitor and schedule the Loadmaster group to ensure all ground operations that require Loadmaster presence are provided in the most cost efficient manner.
  • Safe and efficient direction provided to internal and external customers with regards to Special Loads.
  • Problem solving to assist customers in moving outsized/oversized/unusual cargo.
  • Effective and timely communication with customers and employees.
  • Efficient and cost effective scheduling of the Loadmaster group.
  • Ensure all Loadmasters are current on all their training requirements.
  • Supervise the performance and conduct of the Loadmaster group.
  • Complete Employee Evaluations, discipline and recognition as required.
  • Monitor/track Loadmaster expenditures to ensure compliance with the Corporate Travel Policy.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Director of Ground Operations and/or Loadmaster Manager
Qualifications
  • A. degree or 6 years relevant aviation experience.
  • Detailed understanding of the 747F, 777 and 767 aircraft loading/unloading systems along with the ability to prepare associated trim sheets, weight and balance calculations using the SABLE Weight and Balance System.
  • Candidate should be experienced in the movement of Special Cargo and have the ability to complete associated Tie down worksheets and forms.
  • 10 years of Loadmaster experience is desired for this position.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and interpret aircraft loading manuals
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with all levels of Management, customers, and employees.
  • Prior experience supervising/scheduling of a diverse work group required.

 

 

 

Salary Range: $59,000- $79,500

  • Communicate discrepancies to Maintenance Control department found during inspections and follow directions to troubleshoot and repair faulty conditions
  • Ensure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company and FAA procedures prior to aircraft departure
  • Leads and  guides mechanics on advanced tasks
  • Organize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repair of aircraft
  • Coordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work for entire shift
  • Act as shift manager as required
  • Schedule manpower to cover aircraft maintenance and inspections 
  • Perform Manual and Aircraft parts inventories as required
  • Assist other company departments to ensure on-time departure of company aircraft
  • Additional duties assigned
Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Experienced transport category aircraft maintenance experience 
  • Formal training on advanced systems/avionics
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in variable weather conditions
  • Able to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must possess valid passport or State issued driver’s license and  may travel occasionally for AOG recovery and special projects when requested

 

 

 

Salary Range: $88,500- $119,000

 

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset."
