The Sr. Structures Engineer reports to the Director, Structures Engineering and is responsible for the engineering data, instructions, documents, and technical support that economically ensures the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of Atlas Air aircraft within the following ATA chapter subjects: 25, 27 (structural aspects), 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 71 (structural aspects), and 78 (structural aspects).

Develop and/or obtain approved data, acceptable data, and Alternate Methods of Compliance (AMOCs) for repairs, alterations, and modifications.
CPCP (Corrosion Protection Control Program): Evaluate reported Level 2 and Level 3 corrosion findings, develop corrective action plans, and submits plan in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Evaluate discrepancies that require mandatory reporting to the FAA, and submit these reports to the FAA in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Develop product improvement modifications as dictated by Reliability indicators.
Work with original equipment manufacturers on emerging issues to help ensure safety and airworthiness, but also minimize the economic impact.
Organize, develop and provide all necessary Structures Engineering documentation required to complete aircraft structures modifications and repairs within the allocated time schedule and budget allowance.
Provide technical support to Technical Operations, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, and other Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings personnel.
Provide 24/7 technical support in cooperation with other Engineering staff.
Implement the Repair Assessment Program (RAP).
Implement programs to comply with new FARs on Repairs, Alterations, and Modifications (RAMs) and other Aging Aircraft programs such as Widespread Fatigue Damage (WFD).
Initiate maintenance program changes and changes to maintenance documents.

The Material Operations Clerk is responsible for the safe handling and processing of aircraft material as required by company, regulatory requirements and best practices. The Station Production Controller is responsible for the efficient, timely planning and coordination of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities at the station, ensuring aircraft availability, regulatory compliance, and optimal resource utilization. Coordinates the maintenance, tooling and parts support for all maintenance activities with our vendors and internal departments.
Coordinates parts and manpower requirements for engine/aircraft repair beyond the capability of contract vendors and monitors repair activities through to completion.
Coordinates with Line Maintenance, Major Maintenance, Engineering and Manufacturing Representatives concerning aircraft maintenance issues.
Manages implementation of repair action plans.
Has the authority to remove aircraft from service if maintenance work is not satisfactorily completed.
Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel and is available for consultation and decisions on technical operational and procedural matters.
Researches and completes SDR reports and works in conjunction with the FAA liaison to provide follow-up as requested by the FAA.
Analyzes problem areas and recommends corrective action through technical interaction with maintenance vendors, engineering and flight crews.
Identifies chronic aircraft problems and develops detailed action plans for their repair.
Briefs maintenance management on aircraft systems problems and provides corrective action plans.
Provides sufficient turnover to on-coming personnel so they are familiar with all work in progress and all items requiring follow-up.
Maintains a shift turnover log of all communications pertaining to out-of-service aircraft and critical or damage events including documentation of aircraft worked during shift
Maintains a shift turnover log Review prior shift logs and is familiar with previous shift activity
Travels with the aircraft to gather additional information on aircraft problems as required.
Briefs MCC Duty Manager and above on status of all aircraft in work on shift.
Provides on the job training for Maintenance Control Specialists
Qualifications
Airframe and Powerplant License required.
Minimum 5 years experience in the airline industry, preferably with wide-body aircraft.
Strong written and oral communication skills

This position is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft parts and supplies are received, stored, and distributed, in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Leads a team of Material Operations personnel, to include Supervisors, Leads Specialists, and Clerks to support various aircraft fleet types and customer activities in a fast-paced environment. Develops and implements best practices in all areas of responsibility to ensure a world class supply chain operation. Typically manages a major hub and related stations (staffed or unstaffed) in a defined support area.
Responsibilities
General
Staffed stations support: overseas and participate in daily stores functions such as receiving, binning, inventory control, shipping of Atlas material spares, and assuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Unstaffed stations support: Performs regular visits to unstaffed stations in the defined support region, assuring that all Stores activities and processes are compliant with company policies and procedures.
FSK inventory: supports Flight Spares Kit inventories replenishment and reconciliation as required.
Staffing: Manages all activities of Station Staff, developing and implementing staffing work schedules.
Communication: maintains good communication with internal areas such as Material Planning, Procurement, Repairs, and AOG Desk, to assure efficient flow of materials and proactively avoid potential disruptions.
Training: ensures that Stations staff are properly trained and qualified to accomplish job-related functions, such as good working knowledge of the GMM and other Atlas manuals applicable to Stores operation, Dangerous Goods shipping, and handling
Safety: ensures that safe and healthy workplace conditions are maintained, assuring station facilities are neat, clean, and organized. Responsible for the provisioning and maintenance of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc. within subject stores facilities.
Security: responsible for maintaining security of all material and equipment at all Stores facilities.
Receiving
Performs Level 1 and Level 2 receiving inspection functions on behalf of Quality Control to ensure that parts acquired contain the proper documentation, conform to acceptable quality standards, and comply with Atlas Air policies and FARs
Assures that 100% of the certification documents are scanned to AirVault
Keeps quarantine items locked and properly identified
Assures that all Stores inspection equipment (ESD table, measurement tools, etc.) is available and calibrated as required.
Maintains material receiving performance within defined targets
Tracks receiving discrepancies, assuring that they are timely resolved
Ensures that time-controlled parts are accurately entered in TRAX and required labels are applied according to GMM
Addresses any TRAX Material Master discrepancies to Configuration Engineering
Storage
Maintains inventory accuracy through adherence to established procedures, monitored with cycle counting program.
Accomplishes Inventory Count (cycle and high value) per defined schedule
Investigates any missing material cases, fills appropriate Missing Assets Forms; work with internal areas (asset control, finance, insurance, internal audit) to address and close findings.
Regularly checks inventory for shelf life and tool calibration to prevent expired material on the shelf
Coordinates the systemic and physical scrap of materials.
Controls tooling inventory assuring handling, logistics and calibration with guidance from the Manager of Aircraft Tooling
Shipping
Provides material pre-draw for required aircraft scheduled maintenance activity
Packs parts in accordance with company defined procedures
Supports the investigation of damaged parts from stock (BFS damage)
Ships parts with required documentation (quality, export, hazmat, etc.)
Take pictures of the part and package if the picture taking system is implemented.
Ensures the timely, cost-effective, and safe transportation of materials. Follows Atlas Shipping Policy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experienc
3 to 5 years of aircraft parts and facilities management
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with at least ten direct/indirect reports with the ability to effectively lead/manage a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with aviation Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically if required
Proficiency in the English language (Written/Verbal) is a must
Ability to work [with minimal supervision] independently and as a member of a team

The Sr. Structures Engineer reports to the Director, Structures Engineering and is responsible for the engineering data, instructions, documents, and technical support that economically ensures the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of Atlas Air aircraft within the following ATA chapter subjects: 25, 27 (structural aspects), 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 71 (structural aspects), and 78 (structural aspects).
Responsibilities
Provide guidance to Structures Engineering staff.
Issue instructions and documents to economically support operations and return aircraft to service in a safe, airworthy, and timely manner.
Develop plans, instructions, and documents to comply with FARs, ADs, and NPRMs and to resolve non-mandatory in-service issues.
Participate in industry working groups, industry steering committees, industry meetings, and conferences.
Support integration of new and previously operated aircraft.
Liaise with manufacturers; maintenance representatives, repair & overhaul (MRO) facilities; outside engineering departments; regulatory personnel; and other outside agencies.
Review work of consultant, contract, and MRO Structures Engineers.
Evaluate Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Letters (SLs), and other notifications of in-service issues.
Develop and/or obtain approved data, acceptable data, and Alternate Methods of Compliance (AMOCs) for repairs, alterations, and modifications.
CPCP (Corrosion Protection Control Program): Evaluate reported Level 2 and Level 3 corrosion findings, develop corrective action plans, and submits plan in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Evaluate discrepancies that require mandatory reporting to the FAA, and submit these reports to the FAA in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Develop product improvement modifications as dictated by Reliability indicators.
Work with original equipment manufacturers on emerging issues to help ensure safety and airworthiness, but also minimize the economic impact.
Organize, develop and provide all necessary Structures Engineering documentation required to complete aircraft structures modifications and repairs within the allocated time schedule and budget allowance.
Provide technical support to Technical Operations, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, and other Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings personnel.
Provide 24/7 technical support in cooperation with other Engineering staff.
Implement the Repair Assessment Program (RAP).
Implement programs to comply with new FARs on Repairs, Alterations, and Modifications (RAMs) and other Aging Aircraft programs such as Widespread Fatigue Damage (WFD).
Initiate maintenance program changes and changes to maintenance documents.
