Overview

Qualifications
  • BS/BA or equivalent relevant experience required Information Technology preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of Cisco Networking and Cisco Voice experience required.
  • Experience with Global operational, administrative and aptitude of the Unified Communications technologies such as CUBE, SIP trunk implementation and SIP protocol troubleshooting.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions including design, implementation and support.
  • Specific knowledge of Cisco’s UC portfolio including, but not limited to,Communications Manager, UCCX, Unity Connection, Unified Presence (Jabber), Cisco Finesse, Emergency Responder, Attendant Console, WebEx, Routing, Voice Gateways
  • Experienced with Contact Center Express, Expressway, and Prime Collaboration
  • Working knowledge of Video Conferencing, Telepresence, and WebEx solutions

IT Cyber Security Engineer Sr - Aircraft Information Technology Purchase, NY Atlas Air, Inc 10-24-2022 4951
Overview

Implements and maintains the IT Security processes and infrastructure required for continued airworthiness of the company’s fleet of aircraft. Supports cybersecurity compliance and risk management, and internal initiatives to extend the use of networked technology on the aircraft in support of the company’s innovation and continuous improvement programs. Serves as the primary liaison between the Information Security department and the Tech Ops, Safety, QA, and other functions for all matters related to aircraft cybersecurity. Assists Enterprise IT functions with interfacing enterprise IT systems and processes with aircraft technology systems and processes, as well as translating operational risk recommendations into technical action plans. Maintaining the cybersecurity and regulatory posture of the e-Enabled aircraft fleet is paramount.

Responsibilities
  • Review ongoing developments around regulatory guidance, assess impact and propose implementation plans
  • Manage digital certificates and PKI components supporting aircraft cybersecurity, including certificate renewal
  • Identify components of the company’s aviation cybersecurity risk profile, perform cybersecurity risk assessments on the ecosystem supporting aircraft operations, and analyze and develop mitigation strategies for aircraft network-related risks
  • Conduct regular IT Security risk assessments of e-Enabling systems, avionics, and the supporting enterprise IT environment
  • Establish cybersecurity and compliance requirements for new platforms and evaluate RFP responses against defined requirements
  • Review new and existing system designs for compliance with cybersecurity security standards and best practices
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance and recommendations for securing systems and networks on the aircraft and on the ground
  • Represent the Information Security department in engagements with the FAA, OEMS, and other external parties
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of e-Enabling components and supporting infrastructure including PKI, software signing and distribution, aircraft connectivity components, etc.
  • Oversee security configuration of UMD laptops and other components supporting the e-Enabled aircraft fleet
  • Support internal and external audits of the company’s Airline Network Security Program (ANSP)
  • Validate implemented controls
  • Support aircraft technology initiatives including Aircraft Interface Device (AID), Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), and Wireless QAR (WQAR)
  • Provide security awareness guidance and training to technical operations personnel
  • Coordinate with the training department to develop specialized internal training program content
  • Work with the IT Security operations function to analyze aircraft security logs and create log analysis reports
  • Maintain and build relationships with key internal and external partners including OEMs and regulators
  • Participate in industry forums and working groups, including A4A and the Aviation ISAC (A-ISAC)
  • Other duties as assigned

Documentation & Knowledge Management:

  • Develop comprehensive, cohesive, and high-quality program documentation, including assessment reports and technical processes and procedures
  • Ensure documentation is sufficient to yield reproducible results and withstand FAA review
  • Identify, track, any resolve gaps in existing documentation
  • Develop plans, instructions, and documents to comply with regulatory manuals and to resolve non-mandatory in-service issues
  • Action plan development
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field and/or 7+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT, Avionics security or related fields and at least 1 years’ experience in IT Security
  • Understanding of cybersecurity risk management concepts is required
  • A strong understanding of Information Security principles including security architecture and design principles is required
  • A strong understanding of the TCP/IP networking is required
  • A strong understanding of PKI and experience with digital certificate technology including CA management, SSL encryption and key protection is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be a quick learner
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required, including the ability to create complex Visio diagrams, Excel spreadsheets, and well-formatted written reports
  • Experience with avionics security / securing e-Enabled aircraft is strongly desired
  • Avionics experience is strongly desired
  • Understanding of NIST standards for Information Security is strongly desired

The IT Cost Analyst operates under the IT Administration Unit, which is a part of the IT Governance department.  The IT Administration Unit is responsible for all procurement, invoice processing, budgeting and forecasting, and oversight of asset management programs.  The Atlas Air IT department is responsible for an annual budget of $60m and generates about 28k of General Ledger entries per year.   The IT Cost Analyst position plays a key role in describing both cost and benefits of IT platforms and initiatives and creates reports that are shared with senior staff in IT, sponsoring business units and financial planning and analysis departments.   The incumbent will produce high quality reports and dashboards that are thoroughly reviewed by project sponsors and management to determine project financial goals, progress, and retroactive degree of project success.   Using Nicus Cost Modeling tools, the Cost Analyst must feed data and sequencing instructions that enable full allocation of IT expenditures into value statements for executives to consume in their decision-making and approval processes.    will perform both routine and dynamic studies of project proposals, IT infrastructure unit costs, The position will perform key gathering and analysis of IT spend, consumption, and service delivery metrics in order to provide a central source for monitoring IT’s business performance and decision-support data.  Cost information is translated from the entire IT landscape, The scope of this position requires both technical skills in working with data and accounting as well as knowledge of the IT service delivery models and components.    This position interacts extensively with the staff, assets, and contracts within the IT department and executes on behalf of the IT needs and goals.    In addition to Excel, Ariba, and Nicus as the financial tools, this position will actively use 3rd party portals, IT service ticketing system, Active Directory rosters, and other internal IT management tools to gather and validate information.

Responsibilities

Data Analytics

  • Collect, clean, and interpret data regarding the costs and units of service delivery within the IT department in order to enable optimal business decisions. Determine best practices in selection of data sources across IT scanning and management tools.
  • Perform data analysis in order to provide descriptive reports of service unit prices, costs of applications, success rates on asset management practices, and other key blends of financial and consumption data.
  • Blend data sources about Atlas labor forces, assets in use, licenses and entitlements, cost basis for managed services, and other service cost information and assist in the interpretation and testing of results that lead to decision support and publishing.
  • Develop diagnostic and predictive trend data for both cyclical reporting and ad hoc usage.
  • Gather data from financial systems, IT infrastructure management tools and invoices, and surveys or meetings. Model and test data for quality and validity.
  • Review data and clean it to ensure it does not contain gaps, duplicates, errors, or unrecognized impact from outliers.
    • Use spreadsheets and well-documented steps to ensure that results are transparent and repeatable.
    • Communicate the assessment and actions taken so that foundational information is both trusted and available for year-over-year analysis.
  • Develop repositories of information for immediate and long-range usage. Capture and record source data snapshots that support published work.
  • Participate in IT benchmarking activities and develop skills as a professional IT cost analyst via professional associations such as IT Financial Management Association, IT Asset Management groups, and proactively participating in formal training for technology and best practices.

 

NICUS ITFM Software

  • Develop tool expertise in order to be the primary driver for Nicus Cost Modeling software, ensuring that the sequences of cost aggregation and allocation flow logically and correctly through the model.
  • Maintain annotations and documentation.
  • Generate core models to reflect the total IT spend for benchmarking and planning.
  • Develop what-if and targeted models for key business questions such as cost comparisons across IT platforms and over time. 
  • Determine the correct schedules to refresh the various source data based on rates of change.

Other Duties

  • Participate in meetings held by IT technical and project planning staff, ready to extract the estimates of potential savings and cost areas.
  • Assist in developing the baseline case and data, as well as a plan to perform the after-action assessment of results.
  • Publish and communicate results.
  • Put together charts and graphics, write reports, and present the information to interested parties.
  • Calculate savings driven by IT cost savings initiatives and projects with intended cost improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT, or data related fields preferred, 4 – 6 years of experience
  • Ability to utilize independent judgment in establishing the accuracy and reasonableness of financial payments, forecasts, and scope of approved services.
  • Experience with cost modeling principles, databases, and Excel
  • Ideally this candidate arrives with knowledge of IT, but if not, has demonstrated the ability to learn a body of knowledge that includes terminology, topographies, and process controls. The candidate must be willing and able to remediate knowledge of IT in order to bridge the communications and more importantly to perform technical account coding and work independently with a large landscape of service components.
