Overview

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, coaching and developing staff, month end close, financial analysis, reconciliations, fixed asset depreciation and special projects.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the preparation, review, and verification of journal entries and monitoring interfaces into the general ledger system.
  • Coordinate and review multi-currency reconciliations of bank accounts, fixed assets, debt, equity, joint ventures, and other balance sheet accounts across all Divisions and regions.  Develops analysis and reports as required.
  • Assess the reasonableness of monthly depreciation expense and modify the depreciation rules when necessary
  • Automate cash entries in Blackline and other entries to the extent possible.
  • Work with treasury to confirm intercompany loan balances and ensure signed loan agreements are up to date.
  • Work with treasury and Kyriba to solve any cash issues on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the Divisional Controller and Senior Director of Tech Ops on accounting for flight equipment
  • Review and explain balance sheet fluctuations
  • Prepare and review budgets and forecasts
  • Provide and review data for the VP of Financial Reporting in preparing reporting packages for external distribution.
  • Participate in the preparation of year-end activities with outside auditors.
  • Responsible for implementation of improvements to processes to streamline General accounting processes with emphasis on challenging non-value added processes, automating redundant work, and the elimination of waste in current process.
  • Participate and support a six-day close process requiring overtime encompassing timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure that SOX controls are complied with
  • Assist with preparation of the AMC audit requirements
  • Prepare and submit data to report on statutory reporting differences
  • Manage the consolidation of Subsidiary and joint venture results.
  • Participates in the development of company accounting policies and procedures. Administers those policies upon approval.
  • Assists in the development, modification and implementation of financial systems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum education requirements – BS / BBA – Accounting
  • Master’s in Business Administration a plus
  • 5+ years accounting experience with 3+ years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role
  • CPA strongly preferred (with Big 4 experience a plus)
  • Experience in a publicly traded company a plus
  • Exceptional technical accounting base and analytical ability
  • Experience reviewing large volumes of journal entries and reconciliations a plus
  • Prior experience with JD Edwards or Blackline a plus
  • Strong computer skills in general and specifically with Microsoft excel.

 Skills:

  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of the financial impact of business decisions
  • Self-starter, high-energy, results-oriented individual who can work both independently and on a team a must

 

Salary Range: $82,920-$112,040

Overview

Seeking a summer intern to support several projects for the Corporate Accounting team.

Responsibilities
  • Support Corporate Accounting on projects to improve fixed assets, payroll and other areas.
  • Support robotic process automation team on current and potential future projects.
  • Support with journal entries, account reconciliations and the month end closing process.
  • Assist on projects that involve coordinating with outside departments.
Qualifications
  • Seeking a college degree with a concentration in Accounting or Information Technology or a double major in both.
  • Prior intern experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite..
  • High-energy, results-oriented individual who can work both independently and on a team.
  • Prior experience with RPA (robotic process automation) preferred
